OLOL RN Position

U.S.A. Louisiana

Published

Hey everyone,

I am a upcoming BSN new grad that will be graduating in May. I recently received two offers from OLOL. One is a regular RN on a Medical Telemetry floor or to do their Nurse Residency Program. I was wondering if anyone has done the program and if you could tell me what it was like, what you liked or didn't like about the program. Also, anyone that works at OLOL how is the working conditions there as a RN?

Thanks in advance

Hey there, I graduate in May as well, but I have had LOTS of clinicals at OLOL. The truth is that the working environment varies from unit to unit. For example, I've been on a medical telemetry floor that seriously sucks in every possible way. The RNs are nice to each other, but the CNAs don't do there jobs, and are lazy, putting stress on the nurses. Other units are GREAT, everyone is happy, they do their jobs, etc. So, it's kind of a coin flip. I'm also considering the residency program for emergency services. From what I understand, it's a newer program, but I could be wrong. One of the supervisors the other day told me that it's a good learning experience.

I know this is probably a long shot but have you started that OLOL program? I was interested in it and wanted to ask you a few things if you don't mind.
