Hi! I noticed that there were a few people around the forums that were going to apply to Charity for spring of 2014. I was wondering if Charity would accept a HESI score that I took for LSU? LSU was my first choice and now it's Charity. I still plan on getting a BSN, but I'd like to get working as soon as possible. Any advice on the HESI score? I plan on giving them a call, but I'm not exactly sure who I should speak with---or if I can get anyone on the phone.
Thanks so much Naeema. Study Tips. Ok pretty much Nursing I is basics so don't get too caught up in the disease processes or stuff that when you are studying just doesn't make sense because chances are it will not be on the test. I done my clinicals in Luling. It is hard. I'm not gonna lie and try and say that it is not. Some people found it to be very easy and actually finished the course with an A. I finished with a B, however I was always studying. I did fail the first test however, when many others passed it. It just depends. Sometimes the stuff I thought was important wasn't on the test and that's the stuff I would study alot of. The stuff I didn't study so much was sometimes on the test. Teachers who use Tegrity are amazing! I would listen on my phone plugged into my MP3 in my van on the way there and back. That helped a bunch. Keep your notes nice and neat throughout the semester. I didn't do that and when it was time for finals I had to re-organize everything. Hope this helps. Congrats to you on getting in. You will enjoy this first semester. Who did you decide on as a teacher? If you go to ratemyprofessor.com it's helpful when choosing a professor.
Congrats on making it to Level 2 SueBoo78! Who'd you get for level 2? Congrats to you too Naeema on getting in!! I would suggest you go to school to register. There is always a problem with registration, and the students that are at school registering always find out what the problem is and when its fixed first. The library opens up at 8. University is a great site for clinical...you get so much experience, however, being on that team you'll have to work(study) extra hard to pass. Ochsner kenner is an excellent choice...the clinical site isn't as great as University in terms of seeing a lot of stuff(gunshotwounds, badcaraccidents, etc.), but its good and you'll get experience, and that team is GREAT in lecture.
Thanks @Naerma_rnhopeful I hope I get what I want but if I can't register on the computer I won't be able to get to the school until around 11am...that will probably limit my chances of getting what I want...I also live on the west bank...maybe we can be study buddies or something;just a thought. Trying for university and ochsner West Bank...I wanted west Jeff but I dnt want to do an evening clinical

Yes you can still attend with only two rounds of the vaccination. They just want to know that you started the process. I freaked out too when our acceptance letters first went out back in Sept. I called the head of Admissions right away and she said it was cool. Our clincals don't start until 6 weeks after school starts.
