Anyone waiting on LSUE Acceptance

U.S.A. Louisiana

I was just curious how many people out there are waiting to hear if they were accepted into the LSUE nursing program. Does anyone have any info about selection GPA this year?

thanks ccgg.... it's not that bad if this is what you really want you will do fine. i had an awesome study group i didn't think that studying in a group would help but it did. the minimum gpa to apply is a 2.5 but i had a 3.72 when i applied. don't be nervous you're going to do fine. if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I was accepted this Fall into LSUE nursing. I had a 3.9 GPA and an 89.3 on the TEAS. I am not sure what the lowest GPA was that was accepted. I will say that the TEAS score is 30 percent of the weight on acceptance. They also look at how many times you have taken a course, so if you had to take anatomy three times to get an A, you probably won't be accepted. They took 50 applicants this year due to a professor quitting as well as one retiring. If you want to have a good chance of getting in, I would day have a GPA of at least 3.4. Also, STUDY FOR THE TEAS!! The application says that you do not need to, but you do! Think of it as weeding out people that don't have critical thinking skills. I beleive that they do tell students not to study to weed out those who don't take their admission into nursing seriously enough to prepare in every way possible. I studied and as a result I scored in the top 1 percent nationally. I have no doubt that doing so ensured my acceptance. I have heard of people with extremely high GPAs not getting in because they scored poorly on the TEAS. They sell study guides for the TEAS. Good luck!
