Update on 12 hour shift post I made.

Well, after not being able to even contemplate working more than 8 hours, I did my first 12 hour shift today and I think I'll know tomorrow how I hold up.

I started at 7am and was due to finish at 330pm but we had two (VERY NAUGHTY) staff call in sick 20 minutes before the shift started and so the hospital asked if anyone could do a double.

A couple of us did, me included. The hospital registered us with our agencies so we get paid agency rates.

So, I finished at 930pm, which is longer that 12 hours but I am just so happy that I have done it. A bonus is that I have just made up my one and only weekly agency shift I do, I had to cancel on wednesday.

So, it's a good feeling to know I can do it.
