PDA software

Hi All:

I am a new nursing student (currently in the US- but moving to Canada when I am done in 2005) and we were advised to obtain a PDA with at least a drug guide on it. I was wondering if anyone currently practicing in Canada has any suggestions as to the best software for this purpose... I think some of the US drugs are different than the Canadian ones, so I need a drug guide that has Canadian drugs listed too...

Thanks in advance.

I am currently working in Canada and use my PDA at work all the time. I use epocrates as a drug book. You can get a free one from epocrates.com and I find it very useful. Sometimes the drugs are listed under different names but usually if you look for the generic name you can find it. Occasionally I find drugs that are not on my palm, but then anywhere I have worked there has been a current CPS handy or a smaller drug book, so it has never been much of an issue.

As far as other software is concerned, do a search for PDA software online, it really depends where you will be working as to what you might need, I have a med calcualtor etc, but really don't use them.
