Clots blocking iv/syringes

I know a 40yr old woman previous drug user whom recently started using uce.. after a short time she has noticed her syringes blocking with clots , this has never happen to her whilst she used intraveinous drugs in the past til now.. . Sometimes the butterfly she uses doesnt block but other times it does & it happens more often then not.. other then her seeking Doctors advice is there anything she can do to lessen the clots or is her situation likely to get worse being lige threatening, i am not experienced enough to advise her any further then what i have.. can anyone else advice on this womans options??
