by P. Owu May 22, '11I currently live in Mississippi. I am relocating to Indiana this summer. I would like to know: what is the best hospital for employment in Indianapolis or Avon. I have worked in orthopedics, med-surg, oncology, and LTAC units. I have five years of experience and I do not mind working. I want to find a hospital that appreciates its staff. Please help!

I live in Plainfield, just south of Avon. I work at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN. It is just about a 30 minute drive from
where I live to work. There have been a lot of positions posted on their website. I think there are more critical care positions than Med/Surg, however. If ICU interests you, I know there are positions open on my unit. The orientation process to ICU is great.
I worked at Methodist when I first moved down here and did not have a positive experience. I would not go there.

I heard that some hospitals will come out to the orientation and offer to pay tuition if you work for x number of years. Any advice?
