Writing Exam Chamberlain College of Nursing Addison Campus

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hello to All,

It's been a pleasure reading so much important information everyone has provided.

Anyway I've applied to Chamberlain College of Nursing in Addison and so far had a good experience. I've done everything I needed to except the writing exam. I've read on a few forums that the exam consisted of answering one question to evaluate writing skills and the exam was considerd easy. Easy to some can be harder to others-for instance I HATE writing but I can respond to emails all day!

Does anyone know what type of question was asked? This exam is taken online from your home or wherever but you have one hour to complete it. I'll appreciate any suggestions.

I will answer my own question......

You will be asked a general question.... what encouraged you to become a nurse or why you want to be a nurse. I don't remember the exact question but what I said is VERY close.

You are allow an hour to do the written exam. You cannot copy and paste your answer. There's no limit as to how long it has to be but, it's generally an essay. You will be graded on sentence structure-at least that's what they told me.

So my suggestion is to think about why and what encouraged you to become a nurse. Type it up and edit if need be, print it out and when it's time for you to take your exam just type it from your rough draft. Don't sweat it...if you really want to be a nurse and you're not doing it for the money then this writing exam will be easy!

Thanks for the info!

Thanks for this! I have to take this exam by Tuesday.
