How to can I check if IL BON received my endorsement application?

U.S.A. Illinois

Hi! I've been trying to find from the IL Board of Nursing site on how I would know the status of my endorsement application and which documents have been received and which are still lacking. But I can't find anything from there. I've been waiting for their email (not sure if they are actually sending one)..

Please help!

Thanks!

If you put an email address down, then they should send you an email saying they received your packet. They'll say how they are working as quickly as possible to get all your info in the system and get your license as soon as possible. If anything is missing they will send a document listing what things are missing and that your application cannot be processed any further until these documents are done.

When I sent in my first packet, I knew there were a few things missing, like fingerprints for instance. If its possible for you, try and get your fingerprints done in person, by one of the approved fingerprinting agencies that they gave you. I got it done at the beginning of December when I had a job interview in Chicago, and I had my endorsement the first week of the new year.

Don't forget, if the initial paperwork goes through, they'll send your temporary permit that lasts 6 months. You use those 6 months to get any other paperwork you need.

For future reference, don't go on their website. Its only good for re-printing forms and searching to see if your license is active.

Be patient. Good luck!

Thanks mzjones6 for the information!! I actually received a letter stating that I still lacked verification of my school documents, but it's on its way now after i got hold my Visa Screen certificate.. I just wonder how long will IL BON wait before they trash my application.. would you know?

Thanks again!:wink2:

I believe they keep in on file for while. Maybe 6 months to year maybe? I don't know I'm guessing really, don't get me to lying to you.
