I am new to HH Nursing. Have many years of experience in other fields. I'm learning so much, but still don't have a "system" worked out. My question for all of you is this...How does your agency handle supervised visits? I'm also having some difficulty with the charting lingo...any ideas there? Also wish I had ideas on teaching and what/how to chart on that. Thanks for any advice you have.:nurse:

Does anyone out there have any advice on this? I would appreciate it. Thanks.

are you talking about doing the home health aide sup visits??? i believe, tho i could be wrong, that it is medicare that requires them be done q14 days, that doesn't mean they have to be done with the aide present, as you would never be able to coordinate all your visits,,,you are do document that it was done, by asking the patient, now if you are feeling that the patient is not getting done what you are requesting of that aide i would do my best to be there when the aide is there....on my patients that have a HHA i document on each visit the supervision, that way i know it is done per the schedule (ours is a small check off system on the note) in case someone else sees that pt and they don't do it,,,,it doesn't matter to medicare if you do it too often , they just need to see it done q14days..now you agency policy may be different, that the aide needs an on-site visit. so you would need to check that out.

feel free to PM me if i can be of any further help
