I am considering Reiki therapy for some ongoing problems with pain and anxiety. (panic attacks actually). Has anyone had any experience with this type of therapy...good or bad, would love to hear about it!! Thanks!!

funny how people who no nothing of the power of the laying on the hands can tell you not to practice this ancient art. Just do it! Once you have the gift it is impossible not to share it. One can use HT or Reiki to open up the arm for better IV access, without slappping the arm or using a tourniquet which is painful. You can place your hand on a painful low back & drain the pain away. Wow, what a great nurse, & no nasty side effects to the narcotic the hospital wants to sell you! Keep the faith of the healer, & do what you will to help these clients who are in your path for a reason. YOu can go to HTI & look @ the research Dr. C. Hutchinson compiles on the latest studies of HT. Peace! :balloons:

I am Novice Reiki Master and a Helaing Level Touch Practioner level 1. I have been totally moved by the things I have personally experienced. I have had chronic LBP since last fall. I am now pain free 98% of the time due to self healing thru Healing Touch. I plan to continue until I have completed the training thru level 4 or 5. At this point I cannot use it on my patients(my don says it has to be approved by the medical adm, nursing adm. yada yada..So for the meantime I will continue to learn what I am being called to, if for no one else for myself and those I love. Maybe in time my Don will see it's importance in treating the whole person and help me get it passed to be used on our patiets...In the meantime I am looking for a good used massage table, sometime portable but sturdy...Anyone have leads????
