I AM RN TODAY!

Hi everyone, I just want to share my journey... I took the exam last friday and got the quick result today. I PASSED the first time. I like to credit this success to my Lord Jesus Christ. In Him we live, we move and have our being [Acts 17:28]... It was'nt about me but It is all about HIM... His story. I wanted to pass this test so i can testify for His and for His glory. Here's my success strategy.

1. Let your life be a prayer... People sometimes just ask things to God saying Lord I want to pass the test, but they dont study. We got to convince God that we really want to pass the test, not by saying it to Him but by our works.I used the SAUNDERS Q&A Review with the CD and I also finished the Kaplan NCLEX-RN "Strategies book" with the CD, just barrowed from the library.

My song for this preparation phase: "Im gonna be ready" by Yolanda Adams... I just keep listening to this song and even put it on my friendster page, I have no facebook yet.

2. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

On the day of the exam, I prayed upon sitting on my chair and tell God that Im just trusting in Him, not in what I've studied, what I've learned, what I did and all the efforts that I made. I just tell Him that It is not about me but it is about Him... To my great surprised :coollook: all of the questions was really hard lots of prioritization, drugs, computation, infection control, SATA, i couldnt find the answer that I am looking for a particular questions. The computer shuts off at 75. I trembled. The test is over. I wasnt sure how i performed.

My song for the Exam day : "Voice of Truth" by Casting Crowns... I keep on listening to the song while im on my way to the testing center. Put it on my friendster page also.

3. Be hopeful in waiting, expecting to receive your reward from God, for you will reap what you sow. Dont be worried, stay peacful. Be still and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10).

My waiting song and ofcourse I put it on my friendster profile again. "While Im Waiting" by John Waller

4. Be thankful for whatever the results are passed or failed. [i Thesalonians 5:18] For there is a PURPOSE for everything and SEASON for anything. My song "MADE ME GLAD" by Hillsong.

Try having your own music therapies or you can check out my songs its so powerful, and encouraging.

Thank you for taking time in reading my journey. Just let me know if you need prayers I will be willing to pray for you. And to all who are taking their exams soon, God bless you and your exams. And to this site, More powerand thanks a lot. I got so many words of inspirations and encouragements from the stories of others from pre, intra, and post NCLEX procedure. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!:nurse:

Congrats.

(I had a more "interesting" response typed out, but I hit the wrong button and it all disappeared. Apparently God doesn't like me saying naughty things.)

Is this a serious post? I hope not. Just study and learn the material and you'll do fine.

yes it is. im just so happy to share my journey with god while preparing for my exam. if you find it annoying. im sorry. i just want to say what my mind and my heart is screaming right after i found out the result. thanks anyway for taking time reading it. god bless you!

Just a friendly suggestion: Put God in your back pocket for the interview. Just for a little bit... its okay, he'll survive. =)
