I'll get straight to the point...how much does NP make in hawaii? Im am acute care RN and I'm trying to figure out my next move. I'm undecided between DNPvsCRNA. Since the DNP program is somewhat new, i'm kind of skeptical about it's value. Tuition for UHM is over 70,000 while UH Hilo is 10-20 grand cheaper. I'm just trying to figure it if it's even worth it get an advance degree. I want to be a provider but i'm not sure how much they make. When it comes down to it, I don't care what anyone else's says but it's all about the $$. I know you also have to enjoy what your doing but at the end of the day, we're all getting an education to improve our bank accounts and/or our brains lol. Right know job rate for RN is 54.xx/hr. I heard NPs only make high 50s. Combine job rate with evening and charge differential, bed side RNs seem to make more.

They're usually just a little over $100k. You can easily make more as regular floor RN picking up an extra shift here or there while still only working 3 days a week most of the time. NP's really aren't paid what they're worth. But I guess it also means people only pursue that career path because it's what they enjoy.
