I live in Michigan finishing my BSN this month. I have 4 1/2 years of experience as a PICU nurse. I am waiting for my interview down at Wright Patterson AFB for flight nurse, but I am not sure what to expect.

Do I prepare like a civilian job interview? I was told to review the mission and core values of the Air Force, but what else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine is a little different because I have no nursing experience, but I was asked about my volunteer experience, my long-term goals, and why I chose the air force. Good luck!

Prepare like a civilian job interview. Go in just being prepared to talk about yourself, your qualifications, your education, and your career goals.

I felt I dressed even more conservatively than a typical job interview (hair: tight bun, shoes: flat unadorned dress shoes, etc.). I was also asked a great deal about my motivation to join the AF, my family's reaction/support, and feelings toward deployment. Good luck!
