******HELP, NEED ADVICE******

Hey AF nurses: So, application is due April 10. I've been a nurse 7 yrs, applying for the ER. My recruiter is suggesting I make my CV more competitive by listing the types of patients I care for. Should I spell it out and list everything, or leave the generic: Manages acute and chronic medical conditions across the lifespan??? If I list, my CV will be massive, but this is my last go-round for applying.Also, anyone hear if they are choosing alternates for this board?

I don't have mine still, or I'd send it to you. I do remember that I was told to be specific about the higher skill level items that I did. As an ICU nurse I posted that I ran the CRRT machine, IABP, CABG patients. Include critical skills that set you apart. Be brief and to the point. It is not bragging about what you have done, but saying that you have done some things that make you more valuable than the next applicant. Your recruiter does this paperwork all the time and should be able to show you some examples. It isn't the same as a civilian resume. Don't keep it generic, but don't go into to deep of details.

I basically added the types of patients most commonly seen and added the fact that I have hundreds of hours of precepting, and transport experience. The problem is that I work in a Level 1 pediatric trauma center, so it looks like I don't take care of adults anymore. But for every one child we have approx 4adults,

So in reality I see adults every shift.(sorry, I can only post from my iPhone for some reason.)
