Air Force Chief Nurse Interview

Hi,

I am a new grad and I will be interviewing with the AF chief nurse at Travis AFB in probably late August or September. Can anyone who has been to an interview tell me exactly what questions you were asked? Anything special I should know to be as prepared as possible. Anything specific that they asked you? Anything that threw you off? I am a new grad and very intent on commissioning. I was told that the next boards are in January 2011 and my COT date, if selected, would likely be around Summer 2011.

Specializes in Med/Surg, APU/PACU, Peds, Flight.

somewhere on this board i know there is information on the interview and such but i will try and remember some things from mine....

- use sir/ma'am

- know the air force mission and core values

- why do you want this, what can you give the air force

- know the answers to your 9 questions

- are you willing to shoot a gun and protect yourself and your patient at all costs?

- be confident

Thanks so much!

when you say "9 questions" what do you mean? did they give a set of questions? before or during the interview? or were these questions given by your recruiter? im having my cn interview soon, and would really appreciate the input. thank you!
