    SThomas30,

ok, I got a call from my recruiter yesterday and he told me that there were sooooo many applications turned into this november's board that a whole lot got turned away and sent back to the recruiters office to be turned into the next board which is kinda rare according to him and mine ended up being one of them unfortunately. have you ever heard of this? another sucky thing is that now I have to do my CN interiew again because that expires in december.
    Kdazzle,

I have not heard of this happening but at least they are having you wait until the next board instead of making you a non select. Are you trying to come in Med-Surg fully qualified or as a specialty? Either way I wish you the best of luck when you do eventually get boarded :-) I do know that CN interviews do expire, but I'm sure you'll probably interview with the same person so it won't be too bad :-)

    Good luck!!!!!!!!!

    Kdazzle,
sorry for the bad news, it must be very fustrating for you. Come and join us in the other discussion threat for AF boards 2013, and share your experiences. Positive thoughts,as that should mean that the board will look at your info for sure next time!
I will have my CN interview in 2 weeks, any info you can/ want to share would be appreciated.

    SThomas30,
    .
i'm coming in as a fully qualified med/surg. I think that my recruiter said that he is gonna see if I will interiew with someone else cause all the people that interviewed with the one I did, did not get picked or there applications got sent back for the next one. I'm not sure what difference that makes but whatever. I had an excellent interview with my colonel so it doesnt matter to me who I have. LOL. I guess recruiters have their theories for everything. LOL.

Hey Everyone...I was wondering if there was anyone out there that is awaiting the selection board results for November...It's been quite the process of attempting to apply and have everything submitted properly. Wondering if anyone else is sitting here playing the "waiting game" or if anyone has heard anything about being selected, number of applicants, number of openings....Hope to hear from some people...

    hey wvu1224,

I originally had sent my packet to novembers board but there were so many applicants for this board that they randomly took a bunch and sent them back to be resent for january boards and my was one of them. my recruiter said that there were 80 slots and that included med/surg, ER, etc. Good luck to you though on getting selected this month. the estimated release date is november 19th but they are never on time. dont be surprised if you have to wait an extra week or so before they call you. I am telling you all this from experience from the last boards I applied for ealier this past year. Let me know if you have any questions. talk to you soon.

Don't worry too much if you don't hear back when you expect. I applied in October 2009 with the recruiter thinking I would go to COT in January 2010. I had expected an answer in November of 2009. I heard nothing. Nothing! I about went nuts with frustration. I finally heard in March of 2010, commissioned in April, COT in May. So take no news as good news. The process is really long and slow. It took me 11 months to get in - when I showed up the first day with most of the necessary papers, no waivers, no problems. The wait is just to get you prepared for the never ending paperwork battle in the military.

Thanks!!! I will have to say the waiting game not the most enjoyable thing. I can only hope to hear something before March!!! Truly appreciate the input!!!

I am also waiting to hear back, I suppose I should be getting use to the waiting game. If the estimated release date for results are correct, then we should be hearing back in about a week.
    Good luck everyone.
