Understanding PSB West Ga Tech LPN - Competitve SelectionRegister Today!
- by PrettyNappyGirl May 6, '12I will be applying for the Fall 2012 LPN program at WGTC. If anyone has questions regarding the PSB scoring system for WGTC feel free to ask. I have taken it once. I scored "pretty good" according to my advisor. At WGTC for admission into LPN the PSB accounts for 50% and grades are 50%. I look forward to hearing from other potential nursing students.

- May 6, '12 by PrettyNappyGirlHow to calculate Competitve Selection Score.
To calculate PSB score:
Add the last 5 raw scores.
Divide by 305.
Multiply by 50.
To calculate academic portion:
Only the courses needed for admission into the LPN program will be calculated.
Points are given for each grade.
Add the total of points.
Divide by the total points available.
Multiply by 50.
Example: Score total is 21
0.875 x 50= 43.75
Student would add the PSB score and Academic score for Total score for Competitive Selection

Congrats on completing the program. I ould like to apply for selection, my score is not great 81.4 and I may retake the PSB. But I would like to know which campus should I apply for? Which campus offer the best resources?
- Mar 30 by PrettyNappyGirlIf I am remembering correctly my score was 85.9. There were some people that got in with a total of 70 something. It really depends on the applicants who are competing at the time of selection. As far as knowing which campus has the best resources, I only can speak on the campus I attended. I chose the campus that was more convenient for me. The program is the same, just offered on three different campuses. Good luck, I hope that you are accepted.
