So my goal right now is to move from Connecticut to Georgia for a bunch of reasons, most importantly grad school within the next 5-10 years. After researching their new grad internships and residencies I REALLY want to end up at Piedmont, and the applications for their November 2013 program open next week. I fixed up my resume but now I'm working on my cover letter and can't seem to find the name of their nurse recruiter or hiring manager for this program. Maybe it's my admittedly poor google skills but can anyone tell me his or her name?

Also if anyone randomly knows how to go about transferring my Connecticut RN to a Georgia RN, that information will earn you some internet cookies and a lot of gratitude. Thanks :)

I'm not sure about Piedmont's nurse recruiter but I recently transferred my license and this is the link I used. ga.cogentid.com basically was my life line during this process. I hope this helps you!

It does, thank you!!

I am interviewing next week for CV floor. Have you gotten an interview?

rubbertoe11- When did you get your phone call/email for your interview? I applied the day after the residency was posted online. Have you had any experience anywhere as an RN, CNA, or LPN? I'm a new grad with no experience but am praying for a interview as I just coughed up all the funds to get my GA license.

rinskins- I just finished all my paperwork and sent my application out today, from what I was told by the hospital HR is that it can take 6-8 weeks to get approved, but 25-30 days from GA Board of Nursing personal. I am currently in FL and hope to make the trip for the program if offered a position, really wanting the ICU!

Got a call last week. Applied for the CV Residency. My capstone practicum was on a post surgical floor where I delt with a lot of cardiac caths, CABGs, and arrhythmia patients. I have had some caregiver experience with some Traumatic brain injury patients who suffered from PAD - home health.

I heard the interview is all scenario. I hope someone can let us know how the scenarios may go??

I also got an interview at Grady hematology two days ago! Praise God! Praying I get Piedmonts res but really just need to get into Georgia so I can begin furthering practice!

I spoke to someone who has been through the program and they said the questions were regular interview questions. They could have changed the process from when she interviewed though. I've been looking on other threads and someone said its in front of a panel. How was Grady, what kind of questions did they ask? I applied there and am waiting to hear from them as also. The stress and anticipation is killing me more and more everyday haha.

Yeah I heard it was like a scenario type of interview from two of my friends who interviewed over the summer. My interview is tomorrow at 1:30! My Grady interview is tuesday. Im praying I get the piedmont one though cause I cant really see myself doing oncology, dont get me wrong I would work there, but would probably transfer after a year or two to ER. We will see.

Looking forward to hearing what they say! Keeping my fingers crossed for you, good luck!

Thanks! You too!

How did it go?!

How did it go?!

It went so well! I nailed the scenario questions. I feel as if I hesitated more on the personal questions. There are three ladies that interview you. I really feel like it couldn't have gone much better! Good luck!

P.s

Try to remember some memories in clinical/your practice that you can share with them. That helped me lots!
