PCT orientation at Piedmont Atlanta

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hi everyone,

I recently got hired as a PCT in the ED at Piedmont Atlanta. I start orientation May 1st. My question is if anyone knows if the orientation days are paid. The orientation schedule looks like it has three or so 8 hour (more or less, I don't have it right in front of me) days of general orientation, followed by nursing services specific orientation, and another day of Epic training. I have already put in my notice to my current job that my last day will be April 30, but now I'm wondering if I should stay at my current job through orientation week so I don't lose money.

If anyone is currently an ED PCT there right now and would like to toss some friendly tips my way, feel free :whistling:

I am in nursing school at GPC, second semester, and am incredibly excited to have gotten this position. Can't wait to start!

Hello missyf1,

I'm not a PCT at said hospital or PCT for that matter, but orientation *should* be paid. I recently started as a tech at another hospital and orientation for me was 2 days and paid.

when in doubt, contact HR. Great for getting a PCT job!

Hello , i have applied for several PCT positions at PAH. i was wondering the pay and how is the scheduling ?

I'm not a pct at that hospital, but did work there. Orientation is paid
