hello ga! i am an lpn, moving to atlanta area (south) and need to get in a bridge program to complete my rn. i have one semester already done but due to a job transfer i will need to finish up in ga. could someone tell me the closest school for me in south atlanta, (like fayetteville, sharpsburg), etc. i know there may be different course requirements but my sciences, psych and english comp should transfer over. thanks for all your input! :D

thank you, i am looking at gordon college, specifically because it is south of atlanta and that's where we will be moving. any comments on this school's lpn bridge program anyone?

I start my last semester of NS this fall at ABAC in Tifton, GA. I could not have asked for a better experience than what I've had so far. I'm in the traditional program, but I know students in the bridge program and they speak very highly of it. If I had it all to go over again, I would have got my LPN and then bridged through like many of them are. You only attend class one day per week and will have your RN in one year.

If you have any questions about the program, this is the number directly to the Nursing Division at ABAC: 229-391-5020

wow! one day a week, i could handle that, of course given i did not need any other courses that they require. thank you so much!

Hello Friends: I too am relocating to Georgia from MA and need to find a bridge program. My father is ill and lives in Riverdale, so ideally I would like to find a program close to that area.

Not knowing lay of the land, can anyone tell me the closest school to that area? Also, what is the range for an LPN pay in nursing homes might be?? much appreciated.

here's what i did, go on the georgia bon website and you can find a list of the schools to print out, it will list bsn, 2-year adn and bridge programs. i too would be interested in the pay for lpn's at ltc facilities, that's probably where i will start out. thank you all for your "southern hospitality", i am looking forward to getting away from snow! :nurse:

If you go to the Georgia Board of Nurses and look up their NCLEX pass rates you'll get a list of all of the nursing schools in Georgia that have RN programs. Just pull them up (there's probably around 20) and see if they are in the desired location. That's what I did :) HTH!
