U.S.A. Georgia

Published

i recently relocated to georgia from new jersey. i have not yet had any experience as an lpn, and i am looking for a job. i have been here for almost 2 months, have applied to numerous places, but i am still jobless and searching. what is the best place to apply for an lpn with no experience? please help!!

You may want to try nursing homes and LTC facilities. The Atlanta market is saturated with new graduate nurses right now and the economy is not so hot. Many people depend on jobs for health insurance. With no jobs, there goes the health insurance and people are not scheduling elective procedures. Therefore the census is down at many metro hospitals, which in turn leads to fewer opportunities for nurses without experience. I graduated from a BSN program in December and have a job once I pass the NCLEX only because the hospital paid my nsg school tuition and I owe them time. Many of the students I graduated are having some difficulty finding jobs in Atlanta, when historically graduates from my nursing school have never had problems in the past.

Good luck with your search!

When i first became an lpn 2 years ago, I started off with 2 company's ParaQuad services that's a home health company in Marietta and Odyssey health care they have a acute care/ hospice facility, and a home health side in atlanta. I worked in the facility. Both these places are hiring, and I do believe, they still hire new grads. As, a matter of a fact, I replied to another poster, with your same situation, she got in touch with ParaQuad, and got a interview right away! So, call them asap. Good luck!
