Darton College Summer 2011

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hello everyone. I just applied for admissions for the summer 2011 program a couple weeks ago. Has anyone esle applied as well? If so what is your GPA and HESI score if you don't mind me asking. My gpa is a 3.0, or higher because I have grades that have not posted, and I have not taken the HESI yet. Also, I applied to the Darton College. If I don't get accepted for the summer, I'll just apply for the fall.

Thanks

No, I didn't know anyone there. What about you? The proctor was acting as if there were so many different tracks students could choose from. I was under the impression that it was only two for the summer: Albany or Thomasville. I over heard a lady saying they only choose 15 for the Thomasville track anyway.

No i didnt know anyone either! There was a lady next to me I was talking to and about half way through the my test, she banged on the table like she was mad!!! She finished the test like 45 minutes later and seemed really upset! And just 15 for the Thomasville track??? Thats crazy! I applied for the Albany Track also, so hopefully well see eachother in May!!! :yeah:

I was feeling the same way when I took the exam Sat.! I cant remember much about the test, but I can say that the study guide is good for the math, reading, vocab somewhat, and grammar sections... The vocab section for me was half and half becuase half were from the study guide, and the other weren't! I freaked out, but I ended up with an decent score for that section... For a&p, use another source! Its nothing like the study guide, and I would recommend reading from an old a&p book! Im not trying to freak you out, but I studied my old a&p book, and it was somewhat good for me! Although I made a composite score of 80 on my exam, I am still proud of my score because I have not taken medical termiology yet, took anatomy I and II a year and a half ago, and still ended up with a decent score, so you will be just fine!!!

Regarding the math section were there a lot of conversions (e.g. cm-millimeter) or the Roman Numeral stuff? I began the practice tests in the back and missed 11 on the math BUT I did look back many times bc of all the conversions. I am hoping that I am not that freaked out on Friday..I have bad text anxiety as is.

I didnt have any roman numerals on mine... the conversions were definately on the test! definatley study those!

Yolanda226 what resources did you use to study for the ap section? I did the questions in the back of the book and missed a decent amount of them.

Now the real waiting begins. Keeping my fingers crossed.

They said we should know something by April 11th.

Smartguy99 when did you take the test? How did you do?

I wonder what criteria they use for the selection process. I was told it wasn't solely based on GPA and HESI score? So what is it based on?
