Columbus Tech ADN program Fall 2012

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hello everyone. I started this thread with the hopes of having a place for those who are planning to apply for Columbus Tech's ADN or LPN programs? Applications are due March 1st for ADN and February 1st for LPN. I wish you all the best of luck..

Well I plan to apply to both ADN and LPN programs and maybe Surgical Tech. I have all my pre-reqs 2 A'S , 2 B'S, 1 C. And yes I am concerned about the C. But I'm still going to apply and hope for the best. I also plan to try and score extremely high on the NLN, so maybe the C won't be too much of a concern. My compass scores are decent, but I may try to get them higher.

Good luck to us all. Feel free to leave your thoughts..

hi jessicaeileen, i'm going to apply for the adn program at columbus tech too. what are the other two pre-reqs (beside a&p 1,2 and microbiology)? and when are you going to take the nln test?

To pbni: The pre-reqs are the a&p 1 and 2, college algebra, english 1101, psychology 1101. Microbiology is not actually a pre-req, at least not from what I know.

I want to take the nln in december so I can have ample study time, but I may take it like november 30th if there is a slot open.

To Jesssicaeileen: Thanks for the information. Are you Columbus Tech student? I am studying at CVCC. I got those pre-reqs all ''A''. My problem is I am not Americans, and English is not my first language. I read some about the TEAS test but not for the NLN test. I'm worry about English (vocabulary part) in NLN test. I can not read and know all vocabulary words in a short time. It's not like math or science. Anyway, I will try. I'm going to apply at my school, southern union and wallace community college. Are you ready for the NLN test?

Well good luck to you. And I am with you on the apply everywhere thing. All "A"s are very impressive. The NLN is a tough test, some say its real easy and some say its real difficult. I've taken it like 2 times, and both times it was hard but now I know my weak areas. And what areas I should spend my time preparing for..

I applied for the RN program so hopefully I'll get an interview and then I'll go from there. My compass scores are 97 for reading and a 91 for writing. My nln score is an 80. And hopefully by the end of this semester I'll have like a 3.4ish gpa maybe higher. So goodluck to all that apply. Feel free to message me.

I applied for the ADN program as well. My NLN was 89...compass 98 writing and 89 reading.. GPA is 4.0.. I am nervous and stressed a little about getting in because I have a 9 month old baby. I have heard they don't like accepting student who have kids. I'm not sure the source was reliable though

I'm not sure about the whole not liking to let people in who have kids. I know they are picky but not letting someone in just because they have kids is just awful. So I wouldn't say that it's true but then again there are many rumors that fly around about Columbus tech's RN program. Good luck to y'all both and keep the thread/me updated.
