Anybody gotten an ASN at GPC and gone into the ACE program at GSU?

I wanted to see if anybody had done that before. I was just thinking about how much extra you'd have to take in the ACE program if you already had all of the GPC nursing courses (and the degree, of course) under your belt.

Thoughts?

I haven't earned an ASN at GPC, but I can tell you what classes are required for the ACE program at GSU, as I am a student at GSU who will be applying to the ACE program soon.

Pre-requisites can be found here: http://chhs.gsu.edu/nursing/docs/ACECoursesTakenTable.pdf

This is a suggested program of study for the traditional program once you are accepted to the nursing program, but ACE students take them all, as well, but in a shorter amount of time: http://snhp.gsu.edu/docs/spring-traditional-plan.pdf

Some of the classes in this plan will have already been satisfied by pre-reqs for the ACE program, like abnormal psych and history.

Thanks! So do you know if any GPC nursing courses would transfer over into the ACE program?

Also, I should say that I already have a BA in music, so all my core classes (except pre-reqs) are covered.

Any classes on that list that you have taken at Perimeter should transfer over (Perimeter has a guarantee that their classes will transfer to any GA school), EXCEPT the ones that specifically say that they must be taken at GSU.

Have you gotten all your pre-reqs done, yet?

Most of them, yes. I just have A&P II left for my traditional program pre-reqs and abnormal psych and communications/cultural development for the ACE program. I'm just too nervous to apply to either because my GPA is only a 3.76.

I totally understand that feeling. I'm gonna work harder than ever to get straight A's. ACE is sooo competitive!

GSU's ACE ace program actually accepts a lower GPA than the traditional! Good luck.
