Anyone in Ga. work for this company as a weekend/baylor RN? If so, would you be willing to privately share your experience w/this company as well as ball park figure of salary?

I am desperately seeking a weekend position - prefer one is hospice or home health. This company is the only one that is advertising right now..Thank you.

Have you found any information about this company? I am thinking to apply. I don't know anything about homehealth.

Everything I've read is negative - both here and at other sites. From a personal point, I have been contacted by the recruiter but the person who she wants me to contact re: the position has not once been available or returned any messages I've left. This has been over a month so I took a job elsewhere (not home health which is what I want to do but..)

If you aren't opposed to hospice think about Gentiva/Odyssey - at least where I live the have a good reputation.

Thank you so much for your reply. I also read many negatives about Amedysis. I only have one year nursing experience and that was two years ago. What kind of nurse would you recommend me to apply? I can only work as a part time (20 hours a week). I have applied some hospitals, but I never heard back from them...

I do not work for the company however I do work for a specialist and we utilize them for HH. I have had many negative experiences from HH agencies in my area and they are actually one of my personal preferences to deal with professionally.

I also have a friend who do hospice with them and coumadin nurse and she LOVES it! She gave me her pay and it is pretty good too

Goodluck to you

Thank you so much for your information. Could you please let me know how I can become a coumadin nurse? What keyword I should use to search? Thanks again.

Well aside from getting in with the company and having them train you I would see if there is any specialty training. I was trained through my employer, we manage coumadin.

To be honest you shouldnt need too much experience with it for homehealth because you check the patient's INR and then call for orders. When a HH nurse calls in we are the ones who adjust and give orders for any changes and the next check.

Call and request to speak to a manager at Amedysis
