U.S.A. Georgia

Does anyone know about 1 year LPN programs or 2 year RN programs in Georgia. Please i need this information as soon as possible as i want to start school soon irrespective of the cost. Thanks a lot.

I know about 2 of them in the metro area that are affiliated to west indies and jamaican schools but they are having problems right now. They were offering 9months to 12 months LPN programs and some people already graduated and passed their NCLEX. I know there are others i just don't know where they are. They are private schools. In California, they are everywhere. I will prefer one that has affiliation to a school in the united states.

Thank you stacey10, but i meant the bad schools in this post. my friend is thinking about going to one of those schools and i want to see if the school Dinma is taling about is the shcool my friend is thinking bout.

thanx

Hello Nkoli,

These "bad" schools are still running their programs with the problems they have. I was lucky to find out early before paying any money to them. Right now i am schooling in a community college. One of the schools is on Fairground street in cobb county, can't remember the name, the other is "World Outreach..." with 2 branches, one in Atlanta and the other on Austell rd, cobb county. Maybe they have fixed whatever the problems were but i am not ready for risks.

Thanks Dinma... do you know the address of the World Outreach or their website.

thanx again!

Hi dinma!!1

I asked my friend.. we know about the school on fairground street. it's bad. we haven't heard of world outreach. The school my friend is thinking about going to says tht clinicals are done in jamaica. have you heard of any schools like that in atl? my friend says she found out about the school from her cousin in decatur. it just seems really wierd that someone would study here and then go all way to jamaica for clincial.... anyway, let me know if you know of any of those schools.

thanx lots!

World Outreach Medical Institute is affiliated to a school in Jamaica, another one in downtown Atlanta is also affiliated to a school in Jamaica. I have concluded that it is better to go to a regular school and do all the pre-reqs and get an admission for Nursing. I am doing the pre-reqs and they are not as bad as i thought, i am actually acing them, tell your friend to give it a try instead of losing money with such private schools.

I called Work Outreach and they said they are not affiliated to any school in Jamaica. How do you know that they are? What is the name of the school downtown?

Thnx

Did you ask them the school they are affiliated to? I do not remember the name of the school downtown.

I did not ask them if they were affiliated. They just told me they did not have any agreements with any school in jamaic.

Are there only accelerated nursing programs at Georgia State University and Kennesaw State University in Georgia?

I believe Clayton State has an accelerated BSN for students with previous bachelor's degrees too, but I'm not 100% sure.
