I just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks..................

I've never posted but have read this board since January!

I graduated LPN school in July 2003 in Sedalia Missouri and started the RN program in January

I'm 39 years old with 4 girls 15, 14, 10 and 5 and currently work ltc to get me through school and married to a very supportive hubby thank goodness:)

I just received my final grade for this semester and made the president's list and i'm so happy about that.........our program grading scale is anything below an 83% is failing and weighted with 85% of our test grades and 15% accounted for homework............I knew what i was getting into and often times asked myself "Why did I put myself through all this again?" and many times i got my answers from this board when I thought I wanted to give up and throw in the towel but someone on here in their post always touched my heart and helped me stick it out and it paid off..............I graduate ADN in December and feel like I'm going to make it and now considering my BSN:uhoh3: and I know if I continue I will always be able to turn to the great people on this board for a laugh or a tear or that kick in the butt if I need it:imbar

So I just want to say thanks for the support you didn't even know you gave:rolleyes:

Ruthie

Glad that we were able to help, and nice to know that we were able to

make a difference in someone's life.

By the way, a big WELCOME to Allnurses.com :balloons:

Congraulation Ruthie. I have a question for you. What are your tests like with the grading scale you have? Are they set up like the Nclex. I was just wondering what the difference is. Michele
