Why am I sooo scared?

I about to start a nursing program in a few days and I'm so scared. I guess it's the unknown that scares me so much. I have no experience working in the clinical field and have been a nervous wreck for the past few weeks just thinking about going to school. I have all my pre req done so all I have is the nursing classes to concentrate on. I"m sure all this worrying is for nothing, but I still can not get rid of all this anxiety. Does anyone have a solution to ease my suffering. Sorry to unload big time like this, but I honestly need help.

Barb I know exactly how you feel. I am a 2nd semester nursing student. I won't begin my clinicals until the fall of 2003. Nursing is a new profession for me. The terminology sounds like greek: ooh yeah, it is greek! I considered myself of average intellect until I began terminology and charting, now I feel like a total moron OK. I have no intention of letting this course put a damper on my enthusiasm. I have a new motto: GOD PLEASE HELP ME! LOL Trust me, it works.
