Whew! (Night before clinicals exhaustion)

Saturday we started our first med-surg clinicals. These were the first clinicals that we really had to prepare for--our intro to nursing clinical didn't require drug cards or extensive care plans. It took me 6 hours Friday night to get everything done for Saturday. Needless to say my sleep was cut way short that night. Our pt assignments were not ready for pickup until that afternoon and I wasn't able to make it to the hospital until the evening. I don't mind doing the work but I sure wish we had more time to do it in! I really, really dislike not getting enough sleep--I'm not 18, you know. Guess I'll get through it. Hope everyone is doing well and hanging in there.

It's a rude introduction, but believe me, after just a couple of those prep nights, it will go much, much faster....and easier.

AAAAHHHH! I remember those days "fondly". Just seems like yesterday I was burning the midnight oil working on my pre-lab!!!! Now I'm doing my preceptorship...no more prelabs...only 24 more hours at the hospital and I GRADUATE!!!!

I promise you...it goes quickly!
