Where's my motivation?

Has anybody seen it? I think I've misplaced it but I don't know when or where. I'm really struggling to force myself to sit down and study like I should. I feel as though I'm on the verge of falling behind and I can't seem to make myself sit down to read my books and write my notes. I was soooo excited to start nursing school (this is my first semester of an ADN program) and suddenly * * * POOF * * * my motivation up and ran out on me!!!! I truly think I'm just discouraged with all the "theoretical" stuff we're learning. I'm eager to get to the "meat" of nursing...I'm so sick of all this framework dribble they keep talking about. 'Sigh....

Ah well...this too shall pass. If anyone's seen or heard from my motivation, can you please tell it to come home? I really need it right now. Thanks!

Bean,

You can do it and you will do it, but remember that you must crawl before you can walk.

The "meat of nursing" is on order and will comes with the fries. Just be patient. I had a Med Dosage Test and Skills appraisal today. Well, I passed everthing and when you pass your first nursing exam you will be motivated. Just try to keep focused and remember your goal.

I used to save the Sunday classified with all the nursing jobs listed. They had words that motivated me like "Generous sign on bonus, excellent medical and dental insurance coverage, 8 paid holidays, sick child program, free parking, ect, ect.........

It would do the trick. Hope you find your motivation. Good luck in school and in your new career.
