When can I apply for jobs?

Hi,

I will be done with the LPN program in mid-December, and I hope to take my boards shortly after Christmas (or before if possible....but I don't think it will go this fast).

So when should I start applying for LPN positions? Is now too soon? There are a couple of LPN positions open at a mental health unit that I am really interested in (i went into nursing primarily for psych), but I don't know if it is too soon to apply now. Should I wait until the semester is over? Or even until I have my license?

I would call the places you are interested in applying to and ask them. Where I live they suggest that you apply for positions starting two months before you graduate.
