What books do you use and why?

We have a choice to buy any one Medical/Nursing Dictionary, one Nursing Drug Reference Handbook and one Handbook of Diagnostic and Laboratory Studies.

Which one of each do you use and why?

For each one, which do you think is easier to understand with the information presented in a logical manner ?

Some books may not be perfect - good in one are but not so good in another area.

I used a different A&P book from the required one and I found mine easier to use for A&P 1 but not for A&P 2. I found the info for A&P 2 too much, and not presented as sequentially/ easy to understand as the required book.

Thanks

I have the Tabers dictionary. I like how small it is compared to Mosby's and it is easier to use. I also have the Davis's Drug Guide for Nurses. I have found this to be easier to use and understand than other drug guides. As far as Lab book, you need to look through them to see which one you like best. I have not found one that I particularly like. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the response.

Any other personal feelings?

Dictionary - Tabers

Diagnostics - Fashbach (sp?)

I use the above because I like them. I use the Davis Drug Guide because it is mandatory for my program - I have no preference for it.
