HI! I plan to apply to the Wise County campus IF my TEAS test goes well. At the end of this semester I should have 21 or 22 points before the TEAS. The only co-requisite I'm lacking is Micro (which I plan to take in the Spring). I won't receive residency points because I'm Denton County and I don't have enough of the BSN track classes to receive points. Ugh. So like I said, IF and that's a big IF, my TEAS test goes well I'll be applying.
Is anyone planning to apply to the Wise County campus? I was just curious how many students were selected.
Hey girl sorry I was at work when you responded. I am going to list both locations on my application just in case. That's not a dumb question, really the only thing they look at gpa wise for the ADN program is that you have at least a 2.5 what they're more concerned or should I say score by is the letter grade for each of the pre and post reqs, I am also taking micro over spring and she did tell me that they will apply one point toward the micro since I will be currently taking it not sure if you knew that but I was definitely excited about that
Haha right!! Good point! I'll think about applying to Weatherford main campus! I have 2 small kids tho and a husband who travels a lot for work so if I did get accepted to the main campus it would be rough with the little ones getting them to school/day care and getting myself to Weatherford by 8 am!
Yea I hear ya I'm in the same boat minus husband traveling but this semester my classes happened to work perfect from when I drop the kids off. I'm not sure yet I'm going to go to the workshop they're having for it the 13th and I want to have some time to practice so I may not take my first one until after we come back from winter break but I'll see how I feel about it after this workshop

Well hello everyone! So we have about 60 days until the application period opens but I thought I would go ahead and get a thread going so that we can share excitement, questions, and concerns and encourage each other through this process! I went back and forth about whether to apply to the LVN program and then bridge simply because I became inpatient with the process because I had been an on again off again student up until this year when a much needed job change allowed me the full focus I needed for my classes. I am currently finishing A&P2, Psych 2314 and will be taking Micro during the Spring term while we wait for acceptance packets or denial letters...I am hoping to get good TEAS scores as I will be sitting at like 27 points before the TEAS. I don't know how people get 35-40 points before TEAS even as long as I have been in school I will have completed all of my ADN courses and half of the BSN courses and still won't have that many points and only one of my classes had a C the rest are all A's and B's. But anyway the TEAS is going to be my riding hope for more points so I will be attending the workshop, using the online skills tutor and I also downloaded an app to help as well. Ya'll jump in and say hi and lets take this challenge on together.
