Travel nursing for new grads.

Does anyone know if nursing agencies require you to have experience before they hire you? I am interested on travel nursing. Can new grads be travelers?

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Absolutely experience is required, generally a minimum 2-3 years paid experience preferably in a specialty area for more competitive role.

You receive only a brief orientation to unit/faculty policy and are expected to go right to work with no supervision. Therefore travel nursing is grossly inappropriate for an inexperienced new grad.
