TEAS & NLN PAX

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site and this question was probably asked numerous times but I couldn't seem to find a definitive answer to it.

I'm scheduled to take both the ATI TEAS exam and the NLN PAX RN within a month of each other. I'm applying to a couple of different schools both of which require either the TEAS or PAX. I am just wondering what the difference is between the two exams. I was initially more nervous to take the PAX RN but now I am scared for the TEAS as well! Are they at all similar? I was planning on studying for both of them at the same time because I was thinking that they are essentially asking the same questions. For anyone that has take either or both of these tests I would greatly appreciate some feedback. Also, the TEAS test that I am scheduled for is on paper not computer I found that a little odd, am i wrong?

I will be taking these both exams next year and from what I have researched the formats for each exam are somewhat different. However, they both test your knowledge of math, reading and science. My best advice is you can purchase the study guides for each to just look at the formats. However, it is a good idea to only use one to study, so not to get confused with the information presented in each study guide. On the other hand, if you study for circulatory system, one study guide can supplement the other, you never know.

Hi there!

I took the PAX-RN in October. The version I took had easy math, easy language, and extremely hard (to me) science! I used a study book from Amazon that came with a CD and it really wasn't anything like my actual test! I left thinking I'd done horribly.

I made a 135 composite and got accepted into my school's RN program to start in January.
