Well y'all, I just finished my second day as a student nurse tech in TTU. It's a great mix and they get some peds. I am finding all of the many creative ways to access patients nether regions when their bodies are broken. I also found something out... I love Peds.

I've taken care of some peds patients and I think I found my niche. I've been thinking about Peds or NICU, but was trying to stay open to working with adults.

Granted, my teens were a older (all 17) I loved helping them deal with their pain, making them feel safe, and making them laugh.

I'm going to do an observation in the NICU on 1/18. Then I'm gonna do one in PICU.

Sounds like you're having a great time!

We have peds rotations this semester (spring), and I'm nervous as heck! I know how overprotective I am of my own kids when they're sick (even with the sniffles), so I'm terrified yet of approaching someone else's child with a needle or IV. Heck, I haven't even started an IV on an adult yet! :o
