Should I work while in school?

I was thinking about getting a job as CNA while being a full time student, so for those of you nursing students what are your thoughts on this. How much time did you have outside of classes, clinicals and studying? Could this it be too much to put on my plate?

I am a full time student in a BSN program & I work per diem for a few hours each week. I do it for the experience & to pay off some minor bills. I keep up with school work by scheduling my time using a planner. It is doable, but I make sure to not over extend myself. School is the priority.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their responses, really appreciate you guys taking the time to help! :)

Recent grad here. The ONLY students in my class working in hospitals right now are those who worked there while in school. They got great orientations and love their jobs. Those who did not work are either still looking or found jobs where they hardly got an orientation and have scary nurse to patient ratios for a new grad. Check out job postings and you will see they all require one year experience. It's best to get into an organization now.
