preceptorship question

i start my preceptorship tonight at my local hospital 7pm-7am..and we have to complete 100 hours prior to starting PEDS...now i'm just wondering, what is involved in a preceptorship? since tonight is my first night, will i have some sort of orientation with my preceptor? or what should i expect tonight? thanks everyone!

They should orient you like they would with anyone on their first day. The way I understand it, we orient before actually starting so the facility is sure we are aware of what is going on and then we have a mini orientation under the nurse. Good luck! Have fun. :)
