i start my preceptorship tonight at my local hospital 7pm-7am..and we have to complete 100 hours prior to starting PEDS...now i'm just wondering, what is involved in a preceptorship? since tonight is my first night, will i have some sort of orientation with my preceptor? or what should i expect tonight? thanks everyone!

i'm doing my care plan on constipation. this is what i came up with. i already have done my outcomes and interventions and rationales but idk if this is good.. constipation rt insufficient physical activity and mental confusion secondary to dementia as evidenced by: and then blah blah..not too sure what else to put or what..not too sure the secondary to dementia should be included. my pt does take a few meds that cause constipation but i'm just feeling clueless..been working on this since last night! thanks

i usually make overnight oats the night before for 2 to 3 days. keeps me full till whenever i can eat something for lunch!

i'm new here and figured i would try and see if i could get some assistance. this will be my first care plan to do and i'm very nervous. i did pick my pt this morning and have been stumped since with trying to come up with a nursing dx. here is what i have so far on my pt: 85 yr female, dx constipation, anxiety, depression, hyperlipdemia and uncomplicated demetia. her lipid panel is now normal. she's in a wc and wanders around. i am thinking of going with constipation but i dont know. can you help me with guiding me to the right direction? thanks all!
