Pre-Requisites

Hi. I have watched the discussions on this site for a couple of years now. I have a background in social work and am thinking about nursing school to get my RN. I have VERY LITTLE science background and this makes me nervous. I want to start slow in taking my science courses. I already have a B.A., so I only need 3 Pre-requisite courses, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Anatomy/Physiology. I am interested in taking the class in person as I think this will help my learning. The community college I am interested in has the lovely delayed registration for those who have more than a set number of units. With a bachelor's I always am in the last pool of folks allowed to register so it's hard to get the classes I need. I am willing to pay a couple thousand to take one class at a time at a private school, but I want it to be a good class as there's no point in taking a horrible course where I don't learn and will be prone to mistakes that would impact my competence as a nurse. I am in the Inland Empire. Any suggestions on places where I can avoid the crowds and get a good face to face class in? Evening and weekend courses would be preferable. Thanks.

Southern California University of Health Sciences? They are 1 month long, weekends and accredited. I'm not sure which school you're planning on attending for nursing, so I would just double check with the school that you're attending whether or not the credits will be accepted since the science classes are accelerated. You shouldn't have a problem though unless the school specifically states "no accelerated pre-requisite courses" or "does not not accept per ____ (school's name) guidelines.
