Picking a clinical day

Okay, so I am entering into my third semester of nursing school and I live an hour away from school and clinical. We have class on Mondays and Thursdays and get to choose either Tuesday or Wednesday as our clinical at the hospital.

In my particular program we pick up our "paperwork" on our patients the evening before and have to create a "care plan" the night before clinical.(which takes me 3-4 hours).

This last semester(which was the same set up) I chose Tuesday clinical to avoid driving a whole extra day just to pick up clinical paperwork. What I didn't anticipate at the time was the HUGE headache of going to a 6 hour class on Monday's, going straight to the hospital to pick up my paper work, then finally going home to create a 4 hour long care plan that was due at 5 o clock in the morning(an hour drive away) on a very long clinical day.

So, I either have a super headache of a Monday or I have to drive an extra two hour round trip that I didn't have to. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks!

I would go with the same set up that you had last semester. Why drive an extra 2 hours if you dont have to?
