Starting pharmacology in 2 weeks. What is the best way to start doing this? Tricks, methods? Flash cards? What worked for you?

Learn the class! That's what I did and everything else (side effects, nursing interventions) became easier to figure out. For example a drug that is in the adrenergic class stimulates the sympathetic nervous system; remember from A&P that this system dilates the eyes, increases heart rate/BP, and slows digestion and gland secretions. If you can get this type of thinking down, you should be good!

What helped me study was rewriting the class notes including organizing everything so it made more sense (like combining notes on classes of drugs into one document so it's easier to compare them to each other, instead of going back and forth between different pages with random information in between). It's extremely time-consuming but it has worked for me so far.

My first pharmacology test did not go as planned. I could've studied more but I didn't. I'm disappointed in myself but I can't let this bring me down. Gotta work harder for next test.
