I am finished with pre reqs my overall GPA is 3.5 and a teas score of 80. This will be my first degree. I live in San Diego and schools are really impacted. I need other options. Where can I get in faster? (BSN only) A school that has a good reputation, high passing NCLEX. Any advice helps! :) thanks

Why are you only considering BSN programs? With an ASN you might have limited job opportunities until you get your BSN, but getting your ASN and then bridging is cheaper, you can get an employer to pay for your bridge program, you earn a full year's salary sooner, etc. It really makes the most financial sense.

For finding a nursing school, you really need to do your own research according to your own needs. How far would you consider moving? How much can you pay? Etc.

I am considering BSN only because doing an ASN program is the same length and like you said jobs are limited and especially here in southern CA so I might as well get my BSN in two years instead of ASN for 2 + 1-2 year bridge program. I think I'd rather waste money than time; student loans I can't avoid them wether it's cheaper or not.

I don't know where to start looking for schools.... and I don't know what schools I would consider either.
