Nursing school burnout.

7 months into my accelerated 12 month nursing program and I am reaching a wall! I spent the last of my energy getting an A in my last med/surg class and I have been totally slacking on pediatrics and my research class... I'm getting through them, but not an A so far... I'm always tired nowadays since all my classes and rotations start at 8:30 at the earliest and I have to commute an hour each way. I also feel pressure since its a private school and very expensive, if I fail a class then thats it, I'm done for. Its starting to take a toll on my mood. Anyone feel the same and figured out a way to combat it?

I'm in the last 10 weeks of an 11 1/2 month program. I hit that wall the middle of last semester. I was stressed out, burnt out, and mentally fried. I had a few nights of tears, a day or two of panic and then scrapped myself back together and just kept moving forward. It did get better. My grades suffered some but I decided that was ok. My first semester I had all A's. I can live with one A- and one B+ for the second. There are other things in life besides grades and finding some sanity is important. You are over the hump, 5 months to go. Eyes on the prize!

Yes good point! I'm feeling a bit better today for sure and reading that post made me feel better. Its true, eye on the prize. It doesn't hurt my mood that I got the highest score on my research final! Just goes to show that despite how I may feel and how insecure I am in my abilities to complete school, I know I can.
