Nursing Students General Students

Are there any students out there who are in a MSN program? I will soon be starting an alternate entry program MSN for those who already have a Bachelor's degree. I'd like to hear what your curriculum has been like as well as any other insights you may have. Thanks!

Where are you going? I'm in Vanderbilt's Bridge program myself. It is very intense. You cover a lot of material in a short period of time. I would review A and P and some pathophys. Also, if you can swing it, get certified as a nursing assistant. It will make first semester easier. Get a good care plan book, it will save you time when writing care plans. We cover the major NCLEX areas, med-surg, ob/gyn, psych and peds. Our program has a 96% first time pass rate.

I don't think I'll have time to get certified since school starts in just a couple of months. I am in Texas, by the way, and I'll be sure to look into the care plan books you recommended. What specialty is your degree plan for?

I will graduate with a specialty in acute care. I want to work in cardiology. CNA training is usually only 3 weeks. Good luck!
