Anyone here have to take the Mosby's ASSESSTEST in order to graduate? If so, how are you studying? I have heard that some people actually have the test questions and answers to these if you can find them? Also, do you have to take the NLN tests ? Just wondering of other school were like mine....

So far as I know this is not a requirement for us. But do you have to PASS the tests or just TAKE them? I am thinking the school just uses them to validate how well they're teaching. Like, if you had to take one prior to starting classes (we took the NET) and then just before graduation, it would show how much knowledge you've gained by the improvement in your scores. See what I mean about the difference between passing and taking? At any rate I wouldn't stress too much about it. You will have the knowledge you need, by the time you need it. good luck!

we were required to take the mosby's assess test this quarter. OMG! it was awful! there were things on there i have never seen before!

we are required to take it in our next to last quarter and if we don't make at least a 60% then we are required to take an NCLEX review class during our last quarter. this is the first year that requirement has ever been in place and i have no idea how the past scores have gone. i plan on taking the review class regardless of the score i get on the mosby's test.

I took both the mosby's and NLN's within the past month. I didn't worry about studying. My school uses them to determine where we need to focus review for NCLEX.

We had to take the NLN before applying to school! You had to get a 50 on all sections or else take remediation to make up for it. We don't have to take the ASSESS test, nor do we have a review.

We take the NLN for each course at the end of the semester to measure how much we've learned. We took the Mosby's Assess test at the beginning of this semester. We have to take it for graduation, but it is mainly to show us what areas we need to study. So I didn't study for it...because I want to know what info I *really know* vs. what info I just remembered because I looked at it. I haven't ever studied for NLN's for the same reason. That's just the way I see it. Good luck!

We took the Mosby's Assess Test during our LPN year. We didn't have to study for it because it was for the school's benefit. Although, I actually liked taking the test so I could see where my strengths and weaknesses were.

If only my school was like yours. I HAVE to pass with at least a 50% or I'm out. We get ONE chance to make it up, but then you have to get a 85%. It is crazy. I think they are important in practice, however to make them count is ridiculous. I am ready to graduate in less than a month and if I don't pass ONE test I'm out. 2+ years of my life wasted over one test.
