I want to be a mental health nurse. The best path is for me to become an RN.I am worried already about money, I know it's hard to work during nursing school. I'd have to get OSAP(financial aid)I have a baby, all these things don't make me not want to do it but it's all on my mind. I guess, if anyone has been in the same situation could give me some insight? Thanks!

I am married and my husband is supportive but is this all possible? Money is always what keeps me back from school.....

I would go to the financial aid office of the school you plan to attend. Get their advice. They might just send you looking online but at least you would get a start. Psychiatric nursing is underserved. Check to see if there is a psych nurse association. They might have links to organizations offering scholarships. Don't forget the library, especially the public library. They are a wealth of information and even know where lists of scholarships are so you can check out which ones you qualify for.

My best advice:

Scholarships. Scholarships. Scholarships.

Don't take out a loan larger than what you're expected yearly nursing salary would be (for your entire degree)

Put away as much as you can now, and start cutting the non-essentials.
