HELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm taking Anat & Phys 2. On the lecture tests, I do fine....but lab... is another story......
I KNOW the material....but looking at it in the book...or even in lab with the instructor telling what it is....and then trying to decide what it is during a lab test are as far from me to China....
HOW can I retain this stuff????
I got an 85 on lecture test and a 66 on lab. That holds me at a B for the combined course...but???? GRRRRRRR
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What parts of lab are you having problems with? For anatomy, I sometimes bring my digital camera to lab and take pictures of the models, skeletons, etc (it's ok with my instructor). Then when I get home I download on my computer and go over all the names and functions...For tissues and other microscopic, try to pick out a distinguishing characteristic of each -- for instance, the renal cortex tissue has circles (Bowman's capsules), while the renal medulla is more linear, so I'd remember that o's are in cortex (like the "o" in "cortex" and l's are in medulla, like the "ll" in "medulla." Hope that helps some...

Hi Parker,
I'm with Kardut. What exactly are you having problems with in Lab?
Is it identifying specific features on a real organ compared to studying the material from pictures in your book?
If so, give this website a try.
http://www.bio.psu.edu/faculty/strauss/anatomy/biology29.htm
It is divided by System and most of the diagrams are pictures of actual organs, not just pictures. I found this site extremely helpful in A&PI when having to do idetification on a real organ.
I like Karduts idea of taking pictures if you have access to a digital camera. I'm not very good at taking photos though, so maybe if you did searches on the internet of picutres of organs you will be tested on you can study those.
