How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.

I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Care to share?

I am 29 year old married mother of 1 boy. I am like leslieRN2B, finishing up my nursing school. I start my 4th semester (and last) on Aug. 18th!!! Yeah!!!! :D I already have job with the NICU, and I can't wait to get to it!! Remember me in December, when I am sweating through boards!! :uhoh3:

Hey guys, I'm Rachel, I'm 23 and I just started my accelerated BSN degree in May. I have my BA in Psychology, graduated from Miami of Ohio in 2002 (of course I decided to be a nurse during my senior year!). It's an 18-month, VERY intensive program (ie we completed our sophomore year this summer in 12 weeks), so I should have my BSN December 2004. We just finished up our second summer session and first set of clinicals...so far so good! I've been a tech in Labor and Delivery for the past year, and just accepted a SNE position on the same floor so I am VERY excited to get started on that this fall! I've been reading this forum for the past year or so but this is the first time I've posted...it's nice to meet all of you!

:) Antonia, 43, mother of two. Still taking pre-req's and plan to apply in the fall next year for the ADN program.

Hi there to all!

My name is Sandra. I am the mother of a 7-year-old daughter, divorced after 13-1/2 years of marriage, unemployed. I am in a 2nd-career phase: 1st year BSN program, still taking prereqs. I love it!

I will be taking survey of chemistry and lab. First time ever taking chemistry. I am really nervous, but I will do just fine, I'm sure!

Isn't this bb just great. Especially for someone like me--lots of questions, very little knowledge (nursing).

Good luck to all!

Hi

I will be starting my 2nd semester on August 25 th. (ADN)

I am also new to this site, although I have been reading for awhile now. I have really been enjoying every ones posts. I am 27 and a mother of a 21/2 yr. old.

Goog luck to all of you!!!!:)

Hey everyone!

On September 3 of this year I'll be starting my first semester of a four semester RN program. I'm a bit nervous (more like terrified), especially after going to my orientation last week and discovering that besides me, there is only one other girl who is of "school age" in my class. I'm 18, turning 19 in November, and most of my class is 30 and over with children. I'm really hoping this won't give me a disadvantage in any way. But I really hope I can make it!

I'm Leigh, married mother of 3 going back after 8 years of staying home with the kids. I have 2 semesters of rereqs left, then will apply to lpn program for next fall (2004).
